Excellence in child care and education provided through play based children’s learning programs. All children are assisted in their development by our highly trained and experienced staff. From the moment they are welcomed into the center parents can be confident of the concern and attention their children will receive. We are a non profit organization Our children. We are a notforprofit community based service and receive some recurrent funding from the Department of Community Services. We employ university trained Premature Childhood Teachers and Diploma trained child care staff. Individual staff have up to 24 years service with our center. We foster ongoing staff training to remain to flourish staff skills and knowledge and to maintain our progressive and innovative programs. We provide child protection services for children from 6 weeks to 12 years as follows: Children in both the Nursery and Lengthy Day Protection are supplied with snacks and meals that provide 50 of their daily dietary intake. These children attend in either the 34 year or 45 year room. The 34 year room has a greatest of 20 children each day. At the signor desk in each room is our Day Book which is a record of each day and includes written and photographic documentation. Parents, staff and children have access to read or contribute to the Day Book. We yield opportunities for challenges and triumph and guide children towards school readiness, literacy and numeracy. These children attend in either the 34 year room or 45 year room. Families produce their children with their own morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea as required. All staff are involved in program development for their rooms. The staff at our center focuses on interacting with, observing and listening to the children to learn about their interests and ideas. There is a Day Book in each room where staff document the daily experiences of the children. We encourage families to read the Day Book with their children and to donate feedback to staff. Staff also create documentation or displays of children’s work, discussions and ideas. The portfolio contains documentation, photographs and works samples and is able to be viewed by families at any time. Our staff are everlasting discussing new ideas and evaluating our practices so that we remain to bear an innovative program!.
